Hello, my name is Hovhannes Oganesian and I'm a sound designer from Los Angeles. I have 6 years of experience in audio and like many sound designers I got my start in music production, specifically EDM. It was during that time that I started to learn the importance of sound design and began making that my main focus which eventually led me to game audio.
My time at Mix Recording Studio as an assistant studio engineer has provided me with experience in delivering high quality work on tight deadlines while also growing my audio engineering knowledge. This along with my experience with synths (Serum, Massive, Sylenth1) and layering samples made sound designing for games the perfect fit for me. I completed a class in the School of Video Game Audio and practice making my own games to hone my skills in interactive audio as well as linear.
The real world recreation of soundscapes is the most interesting challenge I feel my skillset is suited for. My years with mentors in music and audio engineering have given me the audio knowledge to make game audio very enjoyable and fulfilling. I have realized that storytelling through sound is my true passion and my love for world building is what makes a position at a game studio the place where I can provide the most value.
